We started today with a dawn blessing led by Whaea Karlene for our shade canopies. Our tamariki will see the benefit for years to come and we are looking forward to being able to use our outdoor spaces more through the Winter months.

The day started very early for Takanini School today! At 6am huge house moving trucks brought our two new classrooms. Now the work begins to build decking around them and connect them to all the utilities. The children of Rooms 25 and the Atrium are looking forward to being able to move into larger classrooms sometime in future weeks.
Over the past week, our students have been learning about the ANZACs and the importance of remembrance. They have explored stories of courage, sacrifice, service, and the values that continue to shape us today.
Some of our students proudly shared the Ode of Remembrance, showing respect for those who served and those who never returned.
Lest we forget. 🌺
