This week has been filled with sensory and painting activities both indoors and outdoors.

Outdoor Exploration

Our tamariki have been actively engaged in a variety of outdoor learning experiences, exploring their environment with curiosity and enthusiasm. They have enjoyed spending time outdoors, playing with their friends, developing physical skills and discovering new ways to learn through fun and meaningful experiences.

Today, we were excited to welcome Angel from our local library during mat time. Angel shared some wonderful books with us, and the tamariki especially enjoyed listening to the digger and lion stories. The children also had lots of fun playing with the parachute, working together to lift it up and down and enjoying the movement and excitement. It was a lovely experience that encouraged a love of books, storytelling, movement, and learning together.

Our teachers are full-on with their Key Children, supporting their learning and development through fun, meaningful experiences.

Whaea Nikita is with our toddlers, learning about emotions and how to express our feelings kindly to our friends.

Whaea Sonia is with our 3-year-olds, learning colours and practising their pencil grip for early writing.

Whaea Kulwinder is with our 4-year-olds, building their number recognition and early numeracy skills as they get ready for primary school.
