Rainbow Bears Preschool

🌏Kia ora whānau.
This Thursday 4th of June we are having a cultural dress up day. Come dressed in your cultural attire or wear colours inspired by your cultural attire🌏

Samoan language week is coming up. This week we have been learning to count objects in the beautiful Samoan language. It has been absolutely fantastic to see the tamariki be enthusiastic about revisiting knowledge and sharing their own knowledge about counting, grouping objects together and showing their kaiako they can count in te reo Māori too!

Yesterday morning we had so much fun exploring with cars! 🚗
We began by rolling the cars down the ramps, comparing their speed and noticing which ones travelled the fastest and which ones need new wheels 🚘As our play continued, tamariki became creative problem-solvers, sharing different ideas and experimenting with ways to make the cars go even faster. Through this hands on play, they were building their confidence in communication, collaboration, and early concepts of science and physics, all while having lots of fun together!

🌿Learning about sustainability and gardening is an ongoing experience at Rainbow Bears. Our tamariki love the entire process, especially when they are able to collect and cut the herbs from the gardens🌱🌾

🐰Easter was a hit this year with our tamariki. They got stuck into sharing what they know about easter, enjoyed the many mat times with singing and reading easter themed stories, and loved using their creative minds to engage in the stimulating learning experiences. We also enjoyed an exciting easter egg hunt 🐰🐰🐣
