“‘E afua mai i mauga tetele manuia o le nu’u’ – From the high mountains are the blessings of the village.” This year’s Samoa Language Week theme reminds us that the strength, values, and blessings of our communities come from those who have come before us. Today, our dress-up day was a beautiful reflection of this theme, as our tamaiti proudly celebrated their culture, heritage, and identity through their traditional attire.

As always, our tamaiti and aiga have shown incredible support throughout our events and dress-up days. It was wonderful to see our tamaiti arrive looking amazing in their cultural attire, showcasing stunning patterns and beautiful shades of blue and red.

Fa’afetai tele lava to our tamaiti and aiga for all that you do and continue to do for our GK whānau. We are truly grateful for the effort, support, and enthusiasm you bring to our centre.

The day has been filled with Samoan food, music, dancing and bright and beautiful outfits😍 Our tamaiti and faiāoga were fortunate to have some special guests from Penina o Tāmaki bless us with some graceful performances, a Samoan story reading and infectious vibes😍

Fa'afetai tele lava to Faiāoga Mile for bringing the tamaiti to perform for our tamaiti. We are so grateful and loved watching the graceful dances, singing, eating and making connections with our community 💚 A true celebration of connection and culture!
