Family Whānau Day & Christmas Celebration 🎉

What a beautiful day it was! Our end-of-year Family Whānau Day function at Little Pearls brought together our wonderful parents, whānau, staff, and community members for fun, connection, and celebration.

With gorgeous weather and even better company, it was another special day to reflect on the year, share gratitude, and enjoy the friendships that make Little Pearls such a special place.

A huge thank you to our parents, whānau, dedicated staff, and community members for your ongoing support, love, and commitment. Days like this remind us how lucky we are to have such an amazing community.

The Little Pearls whānau wishes you all a safe and prosperous Christmas, and a New Year filled with joy, love, and blessings.

What a spectacular Day it turned out to be at Little Pearls this past Saturday afternoon and it was all thanks to the incredible efforts and warm spirit of our extended Little Pearls family.

“Many people will share the feeling that the daily experience of young children in early childhood and care environments can be hurried and full. Professor Alison Clark suggests that childhood today is ‘accelerated’, and through her extensive research, she invites practitioners to consider an alternative approach, Slow Pedagogy. This way offers children the ‘time, pace and rhythm’ for their play and their lived experiences. A Slow Pedagogical approach can greatly benefit both the child and the practitioners.

External pressures can make it difficult for educators to prioritise what’s best for children over what is expected of them, as shown in the opening quote. As part of the Contesting Early Childhood series, Alison has written an excellent book, Slow Knowledge and the Unhurried Child: Time for Slow Pedagogies in Early Education, which exposes some of the challenges practitioners can face today.”

Another colourful 🌈family day at
A huge thank you 🙏😌to everyone who was able to attend our end of year family Whanau day this afternoon. It was so good to see so many of our families, friends, staff and children came along. We were so lucky with the beautiful weather🌼🌝, which contributed to the lovely ❤️atmosphere of Little Pearls community coming together to share the day!
Also thanks to those who brought yummy😋dessert🍰🧁🍩 , fruits 🍇🍓and also cooked delicious chicken kabab today 😊
Also special thanks to our LP lovely team members for setting up, tidying up, taking photos and face painting for the children. Kids loved it
As Little Pearls, we just humbly wanted to show our appreciation to our families whanau for their fine effort and kind support for the year behind which has been a very tough one for all.
We wish 2023 will be healthier, easier and with more laughter, blessings, love and abundance.

After waiting many months, our Mt Albert centre infant’s playground upgrade project has just been completed this week. Nice features more natural colours and materials to integrate better with avocado, fig and mandarin trees surrounded by passion fruit and many other plants in children’s garden.
Every child is precious and deserves the best!
