This week, we proudly celebrated Samoan culture with our tamariki. They were fully engaged in drawing beautiful Fale (traditional Samoan houses) and sharing their knowledge about their importance in Samoan life, family, and community. Through art, storytelling, and meaningful conversations, our children explored cultural identity, respect, and belonging while building strong connections with one another.

Today’s learning: Farm animal sounds 🐄🐑🐓

There were lots of smiles today as the children explored different farm animal sounds together.

They listened, copied sounds, named animals, took turns and built confidence using new words — all through simple, playful learning.

At Pakuranga Learning Centre, moments like these are part of how children build language, curiosity and connection with the world around them.
