Mother’s Day Celebration at Our Kindergarten

Our little artists have been very busy this week preparing something special for the most important women in their lives.

The children lovingly created beautiful handmade cards filled with sweet messages, colourful drawings, and lots of love. To make the day extra special, they also gifted their mums a coffee cup — because every amazing mum deserves a warm cup of coffee and a big smile to start her day.

It was wonderful to see the excitement on the children’s faces as they prepared their surprises. We hope all our mums felt extra loved and appreciated today!

Our children found a feather and this little discovery turned into a magical moment.

Curious to explore, we added some dye and paper… and the results were incredible.

What started as one child’s imagination quickly drew a crowd. Soon, more children joined in, experimenting, drawing, and expressing their creativity in their own unique ways.
Moments like these remind me how powerful curiosity and imagination are in learning

We appreciate the John Walker Foundation for providing sports equipment, which the children are thoroughly enjoying.

Our tamariki at Finlayson Park Kindergarten had a wonderful time baking today!

They made delicious scones using some special ingredients, and the joy throughout the process was just as amazing as the final result.

From mixing and kneading to watching them bake in the oven, every step was filled with excitement, curiosity, and teamwork. And of course, the best part was enjoying their freshly baked scones together for lunch!

Our little learners had a fantastic time playing Snakes and Ladders

Through fun and laughter, they were also building important mathematical skills like counting, number recognition, and turn-taking. It’s amazing to see how play can make learning so engaging and meaningful.

Learning through play truly makes every moment special!

We extend our gratitude to Tovine and Fono's dad for sharing their expertise on the banana tree, including how to determine ripeness and properly harvest the fruit.
