Want to make your very own living night light? Or how about a piece of live art that glows in the dark? Brightenz is a team of biomedical researchers led by Dr Siouxsie Wiles who are on a mission to put science in unexpected places. We use a harmless strain of bacteria that naturally glows in the dark to get people excited about microbes and science. For the last few years, we've collaborated with

artists to put our glowing bacteria into galleries and museums for pop-up exhibitions. We've put together a kit that lets anyone make their very own glowing bacterial art. It's fun and easy and suitable for everyone from 4-104. We can also make larger kits for parties. We can also make custom displays for marketing or special occasions. We also offer consultation services for teaching basic science and microbiology to anyone. Please contact us if you are interested and we can tailor a session for you.
