There’s something pretty special about hearing, “Look what I made!” 🧠

At Brain Play, learning leads to something tangible. A working robot. A coded game. A 3D design. An engineering solution. An idea that started on paper and became something real.

Behind every creation is a child who has had to think, experiment, problem solve, make mistakes, and try again.

That’s where the real learning happens — building confidence, resilience, and the ability to work through a challenge independently.

Looking for new ways to engage learners through STEM? 🧠

Brain Play works alongside schools to deliver practical STEM learning for whole classes, extension groups, and neurodivergent learners who may benefit from a more adaptable, hands-on approach.

Our programmes can explore coding, robotics, engineering, science, and creative technology while developing problem solving, critical thinking, resilience, and confidence.

Give your child something new to explore with a free STEM trial this Friday!

Our after-school STEM classes are starting at Remuera Primary, giving children the chance to build, create, experiment, and problem solve through hands-on projects.

It’s a great way to explore technology, discover new interests, and build confidence and resilience along the way.

This is what we love about bringing STEM into community spaces 🧠

A table of equipment can quickly become a place for questions, experimentation, problem solving, and plenty of "come and look at this!"

Through our library and community programmes, young people and their families can explore STEM together, try something they may not otherwise have access to, and connect through a shared experience.

When a learner feels safe, understood, and supported, engagement can look completely different. 💜

For many learners, engagement starts before the activity itself. Knowing what to expect, having time to process, being able to take a break, and receiving support without pressure can all make learning feel more manageable.

At Brain Play, our team can scaffold activities, break challenges into achievable steps, follow a learner's interests, and adapt when something isn't working.

The goal isn't for every young person to learn in the same way. It's to create the conditions that help them engage, explore, and experience success in their own way.
