From coding and robotics to engineering and creative technology, our programmes are designed to create calm, supportive environments where learners can explore ideas, solve problems, and experience success in ways that feel achievable.
We can work with targeted groups, specialist support programmes, or alongside wider classroom learning, while helping ease the load on busy teaching teams.

Many parents notice the difference not just in what their child learns, but in how they begin to see themselves 💜
Through hands-on STEM learning, students are supported to explore ideas, solve challenges, and experience success in ways that feel achievable and meaningful. Over time, many families notice growing confidence, resilience, and a willingness to try new things both inside and outside the classroom.
Experiences like these are why many families choose Brain Play as a space where curiosity, confidence, and future-ready learning can grow.
What is something your child feels really proud of creating lately? 🧠

Helping community spaces offer meaningful holiday experiences 🧠
School holidays can place extra pressure on community venues to create activities that are engaging, inclusive, and genuinely valuable for local families.
Brain Play partners with libraries, community centres, and local organisations to deliver hands-on STEM experiences that bring young people together through creativity, problem solving, and exploration.
From coding and robotics to sensory-friendly STEM activities, our team can tailor programmes to suit your venue, audience, and community needs while taking care of planning, resources, and delivery.
If your venue is exploring holiday programming for July, we’d love to chat about how Brain Play could support your community, drop us a comment 💜

For all our LEGO lovers! Autism New Zealand 🧱
APPLICATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED!
Hi all, as we have received more applications than we have spaces for, we are closing submissions. Any submissions received after 21/05 unfortunately won't receive a place. We hope to run this popular event again next year!
Applications are now open for our annual LEGO Art Display at Te Papa Tongarewa!
We’re looking for autistic and neurodivergent children aged 7–12 (or close to those ages) who love building and creating with LEGO to take part in this special event.
✨ Participants will:
• Receive a LEGO art kit to create their own masterpiece
• Have their creation displayed at Te Papa
• Be invited (with a family member) to a special breakfast event at Te Papa on Friday 17 July
To participate, families must be available to:
1️⃣ Collect the LEGO art kit from Autism New Zealand at 20 Sydney Street, Petone, Lower Hutt
📅 Monday 8 June OR Wednesday 10 June
🕘 Between 9:00am–3:30pm
2️⃣ Drop off the completed LEGO creation at Te Papa
📅 Friday 17 July
🕘 9:00am
3️⃣ Collect the LEGO creation from Te Papa
📅 Saturday 18 July
🕑 Between 2:00–3:00pm
🎉 Spaces are limited, so applications are essential. If we receive more applications than available places, preference will be given to children who have not participated in previous years — although previous participants are still very welcome to apply.
👉 Apply here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/7WM5N9S
PLUS — Te Papa will also be running their popular LEGO free build and speed build events again this year, so keep an eye out for more details coming soon!
