Today, our tamariki enjoyed a wonderful sensory experience as they “painted” the fence using water and paintbrushes. With each stroke, they explored creativity, strengthened their fine motor skills, and delighted in the magic of watching their artwork appear and disappear in the sunshine.
This simple yet meaningful activity encourages imagination, cooperation, and a connection with the outdoors—proof that sometimes, the best kind of mess is no mess at all! 💧🖌️

Tiny musicians at work! 🥁✨
Our pēpi explored sound and rhythm by using spoons to tap and bang on metal pots. What may look like simple play is actually rich learning - babies are discovering cause and effect, experimenting with different sounds, and developing their coordination and motor skills.
Music and rhythm are wonderful ways for our youngest learners to express themselves, explore creativity, and connect with others. We loved hearing the joyful “concert” they created together! 🎶💛

Little hands exploring big ideas ✨
Today we explored sandpaper letters, a beautiful part of the Montessori approach that helps children connect touch, sight, and sound as they begin their early literacy journey. By tracing the textured letters with their fingers, children develop muscle memory for writing while learning the shapes and sounds of each letter.
Moments like these show how powerful hands-on learning can be! Curiosity, concentration, and discovery all in one small moment. 🌱✋📚

Little hands, big learning 🌿✨
Today our tamariki explored a beautiful fine motor invitation - placing colourful shapes onto tree branches in the sandpit. Threading, balancing and positioning each piece takes focus, coordination and patience, all while strengthening those important hand and finger muscles for future writing skills.
Learning through play, connecting with nature, and building strong foundations one shape at a time 💛🌳
