To all the amazing mums and mother figures, today we celebrate your love, care, and the beautiful ways you help our tamariki grow and shine. 💖
Our tamariki created special butterfly artworks to honour the wonderful mothers in their lives — a symbol of love, growth, and transformation. Each butterfly was made with tiny hands and big hearts, carrying messages of gratitude and love.
Happy Mother’s Day from our whānau at the Marian Early Childhood Centre 🦋🌸
🌺 At kindy our tamariki explored the meaning of ANZAC by creating poppies and decorating our remembrance wall. Through this hands-on activity, children expressed creativity, developed fine motor skills, and learned about respect, remembrance, and belonging. A meaningful learning experience guided by Te Whāriki, nurturing connection to people, place, and history. ❤️
A joyful picnic lunch outdoors at kindy 🌿☀️ Children gathered on the mat with food, laughter, and conversations, building a strong sense of belonging and connection.
Moments like these support social competence, independence, and a love for the natural world—learning that is meaningful, holistic, and grounded in everyday experiences.
Our tamariki experienced a gentle and meaningful foot washing activity, reflecting kindness, care, and service to others, just as Jesus loved His friends.
The story of the Last Supper, remembering Jesus breaking the bread and the meaning of love and kindness. The tamariki then began creating our Resurrection Garden, exploring new life, hope, and growth through hands-on play. A beautiful way to connect faith in their learning journey
Our children joyfully prepared for Holy Week by creating palm leaves and singing “Hosanna here comes Jesus,” waving their palms with excitement. 🌿✨ A beautiful reminder of faith, celebration, and love as we journey towards this special season. 🙏💛
The Marian Centre wishes everyone a meaningful Holy Week!
