We seem to readily accept how what we DO changes with the seasons - what we DO in winter is different to what we DO in summer. Our environment impacts significantly on our DOing. Do you notice any of the environments you find yourself in that try to inhibit or prevent you from DOing when/how you would like? (e.g. home, work, recreation environments) Can you identify ways this could be different?

Are you an active or a passive relaxer? Do you feel more relaxed when you are ‘in the flow’ of an engaging and meaningful activity or when you are not engaged in any specific activity, merely observing (thoughts, feelings, sensations etc). Notice how often you feel relaxed in a day. Would you like this to be different somehow?

Maybe you DO more – in an effort to be prepared or to lessen anxieties? Maybe you DO less – in a state of denial or take a contemplative ‘wait and see’ approach? Maybe you DO differently – and see change as an opportunity to experiment or test limits? Take some time to notice how you DO in response to change...
