Tērā Ngā Kurakura o Hine Nui Te Pō
e mura mai ana i te rangi
Ue ha! Ngā whetū, te rangi pākurakura ē
Ue ha! Ngā whetū, he kāpura tūpuna nō tua ē
Ue ha! He whetū ao, he whetū mārama
Ka māturu iho ko ngā roimata i aku kamo ē!

Nō te ata nei riro ai tō mātou Pāpā, tō mātou karani pāpā, tō mātou hoa, tō mātou tangata, a Hēmi Mānuera Pomare (James/Jimmy Mānuera Pomare). Kua mutu te mamae i āianei, pāp.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, husband, grandfather, brother, our pou, Hēmi Pomare. He left us at 7.20am this morning after a night of wonder in the sky, surrounded by whānau and love. He was a battler with a heart heartier than a toyota hilux (or Ford 1950’s zephyr) and has now graduated to the great classroom with our tūpuna. His strength during this battle with cancer amazed all of the staff of the hohipere, and us, right to his last breath.

Takoto mai rā i roto i te rangimārie, pāpā.
