š¢ All of us at AUT International House feel extremely sad today after hearing that HRH Queen Elizabeth II has died. She was such a gracious monarch who will never be forgotten ā¤ļø
ā¤ļø What a truly incredible life of service she led!
Our thoughts are with her family at this very sad time
ā¤ļø RIP Your Majesty ā¤ļø

𤩠We are so happy to welcome this fantastic group of university students from Japan šÆšµ to study with us here at AUT International House Auckland. They are representing Hirosaki University and Hiroshima University of Economics.
ā¤ļø It is extra special that 3 of these students studied online with us in 2021 and are now here in NZ to continue their English language studies in person at International House.
š Today, they were out and about exploring the beautiful AUT city campus in the sunshine with their teacher, Katy.

My name is William Giacon, and I am a post-graduate student at AUT.
I am doing a research project into English learnersā opinions on the
methods their teachers use to correct their writing.
I am interested in researching learnersā opinions about this topic
because often researchers havenāt included learnersā voices, and I
want to make sure that learners have an opportunity to express their important opinions.
If you agree to join this study, you will meet with me online to learn about different writing correction methods and then complete a questionnaire. Then, you will complete two writing tasks, and one more questionnaire. Finally, there will be a 1-to-1 interview with me. You can stop participating at any time. This study is not part of your classwork or assessments and will not be marked. Your identity will also be confidential. To participate in this study, an IELTS score over 4.0 is necessary.
If you would like to join in the study or would like to know more information, please email me at [email protected].
Thank you,
William Giacon

Auckland remains on Alert Level 3, with a 3-step approach to ease the restrictions. From mid-night 5 October you can:
⢠Have outdoor gatherings only, with members of only two households at a time and a total of no more than 10 people
⢠Travel anywhere in the Auckland region for exercise, sports or recreation outdoors.
⢠Early learning centres can reopen, with children in bubbles of 10.
This will be reviewed again next Monday 11 October.
You are still required to wear a face covering at all times when in public spaces and scan in to keep track of where you go.
AUT IH classes continue to run online until further notice.
Please continue to check NZ Covid 19 website for more information:

Keep safe and well.
