📣 Our Imagineering school holiday sessions are confirmed!

We’re so excited to be running our Imagineering sessions these school holidays - and places are already starting to fill up! 🚀

Designed for curious, creative young people, each 3-hour session gives kids the chance to explore, create, experiment and try something new in a fun, supportive environment.

We keep our sessions to 3 hours to help young people stay comfortable, engaged and regulated throughout the day.

More information is available via the QR code or link below. Spaces are limited and filling up, so fill in the form ASAP 🥳

Lately at Hyphen, we’ve been talking with our rangatahi about civics, their rights, and what it means to have a voice in our democracy. 🗳️

We’ve been looking at how our political system works, why voting matters, and helping those who are eligible enrol to vote.

It's all part of helping young people understand the world around them. Being an adult isn't just about work, study and everyday life - it's also about knowing your rights and having a say in the decisions that affect you.

We love seeing our rangatahi challenge ideas and work out what matters to them.

It’s about knowing you have a voice and knowing how to use it. 💬

The school holidays are coming up quick – just a month to go!

We’re hosting 'Imagineering Sessions' for young people aged 8–13, with a fun few days filled with opportunities to make, create, learn, and try something new. 🛠️🎨💻

From science and technology to making and creative projects, the sessions are designed for curious young people who enjoy getting stuck into things, exploring their interests and taking on something a little more challenging.

We’ll be sharing more details soon, but if you think your young person would be keen to join us, register your interest below! 👇

A glimpse into our day 💻

Sometimes work looks like focused time on a project, sometimes it’s working things out together, and sometimes it’s checking the calendar and planning what’s next. 🗓️

Whatever the day looks like, we’re here alongside our rangatahi, helping them figure things out, follow their interests and make progress in their own way!

🚗 From washing cars to building a business!

Two of our rangatahi are putting their entrepreneurial skills into action and setting up their very own car-washing business.

They’re learning by doing - working out their pricing, managing money, talking to customers, solving problems and, of course, getting plenty of practice actually washing cars! 😎

If you're local to Parnell and would like to get your car washed, send us a message.

It’s exactly the kind of real-world learning we love: big ideas, practical skills and the confidence to turn an idea into something real. 💡🙌

This was our Friday afternoon setup ☀️

BBQ on, sausages sizzling, a ball to kick around… and Woody digging a hole to who knows where 🌭⚽️🕳️

Making the most of the sunshine and enjoying a relaxed afternoon together - pretty much the perfect way to wrap up a busy week at Hyphen.

When you let the teens choose lunch… crepes happen 🥞

What started as a simple lunch idea quickly became a collaborative cooking session, with everyone getting involved - mixing the batter, making the strawberry coulis, flipping crepes, choosing toppings, and of course enjoying the results!
