Last Thursday we continued our series of cultural lunch celebrations with a South African Potjie.

Potjiekos translates to "small pot food" and was a delicious way to celebrate the many South Africans woven throughout our business.

The Duttons crew hit Raglan last week 🤙

Despite the clouds, we had a blast clearing out a wide variety of treatment devices ranging from Atlan Stormwater FlowFilter to Stormwater360 New Zealand StormFilter units 🌊

Stormwater treatment devices in our coastal regions do a great job guarding the ocean against pollutants, as long as they get the maintenance they need to keep on ticking 🛠

today, here's a look at a New Zealand VortCapture™ gross pollutant trap.

Gross pollutant traps are unsung heroes of the stormwater world. They sit quietly doing the hard mahi - catching litter, sediment and all the stuff that really shouldn’t be heading downstream.

Regular servicing keeps them working properly, helps protect our waterways, and avoids nasty surprises when the rain really sets in 💪🌧️

🐸 Hopping on from the weekend 🐸

One of our crew popped a lid for a sand filter job and found a frog stuck down below with no easy way out. A bit lost, a bit muddy, and definitely not built for vertical concrete walls.

The routine service turned to wildlife rescue. Frog carefully scooped, safely relocated, and sent hopping back to where it belongs.

Just another reminder that what goes down the drain does not always belong there, and sometimes mucking in means lending a hand to the smallest locals too 😎

It's the first official of summer and at these temperatures the boys are feeling the heat ☀️🔥

Here's a snap from last Tuesday, when our newly formed team 'the Stormies' braved the weather for 6 side touch down at Becroft Park 🏉

Congratulations to our fleet manager Piet on his new Ute ⚡️

With this addition, our office and utility vehicles are now 79% electric or hybrid - including 12 full blooded EVs!

We're not in the electricity business, but progress in this area supports our wider waste management mission as we strive to keep New Zealand green and blue.

Operation Clean Sweep’s big annual Clean Up is Week is happening next week — and we’re stoked to be part of it!

This awesome initiative from Plastics New Zealand brings together communities across the country to help keep our environment clean and plastic-free.

We’ll be on-site at Rosebank, East Tamaki, Hamilton, and Christchurch keeping everyone charging with a sausage sizzle and cold drinks afterwards.
