Royal Oak Intermediate School

We are very excited to introduce Royal Oak Intermediates very own breakfast club. This will run every day in the hall from 8:00 am to 8:25 am with the help of our amazing learning assistant Maia and our fantastic students. So start the day right with some kai and decent kōrero!

We would like to reassure you that all students and staff are safe.

Emergency services are currently responding to a house fire neighbouring the school. As a precaution, firefighters have asked that all students and staff remain inside while they manage the situation.

Please note that Trafalgar Street is currently closed, along with part of Symonds Street, which may impact access to the area this morning.

We are continuing to follow the guidance of emergency services, our school policies and will keep you updated if there are any significant developments.

Thank you to our local firefighters and emergency services for their quick response and support.

It was awesome to meet the Year 6 students and their whaanau at our open evening tonight! A big shout-out to our amazing students who led the activities - we are so proud of the leadership you demonstrated.

Royal Oak Intermediate Open/Information Evening for Year 7, 2027
We invite you to our Open/Information Evening on Wednesday, 20 May 2026. There are two sessions, Session 1 is from 4:00pm - 5:00pm and Session 2 is from 5:30 - 6:30 pm. Come along and see what Royal Oak has to offer you and your tamariki.

Help us celebrate pink shirt day tomorrow, all you have to do is wear some pink, bring the positive vibes and a gold coin donation!
