Star Kids Childcare, Manurewa celebrated Tongan Language Week by exploring the Tongan flag and learning about its colours. The children enjoyed colouring the flag while learning simple words such as “Mālō” (thank you) and “ʻOfa” (love). This activity supported creativity, cultural awareness, and a sense of belonging.

At Star Kids Childcare Manurewa, tamariki are enjoying the fun Floor is Lava game, moving and jumping safely between different spaces.

This activity supports ngaahi sino (body movement), balance, coordination, and confidence.
Tamariki develop ngaahi kaungāme‘a (friendship) and ngaahi malava (skills) while learning through active play.

They practise taha (one), ua (two), and tolu (three) while developing their counting skills.
This supports their lea Faka-Tonga (Tongan language), confidence, and connection to anga faka-Tonga (Tongan culture).
