Phonics plays an important part in children learning to read at Helensville Montessori/ Every child learns at their own unhurried pace. Our job is to provide many opportunities for learning and make it fun. Lots of one to one teacher time. The chance to learn alongside friends. A real sense of pride and achievement, Just "fantastical"- thank you Belinda.

Many of us would remember the book character Wally from the Where's Wally books. Today we had the opportunity to share our memories of Wally with our Nido children and created our own game of "Where's Haylee?"

The exploration in the Casa inquiry space continues to be about colour; colour mixing; painting and collage. Children are taking advantage of these sunny winter days to discover where and how they can make colours and rainbows appear.
