Message from Campus Director, Hult Prize, Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University ~ Eugenius Aaron Darmaja

Congratulations to all of the participants of Hult Prize at APU 2018-2019. Words cannot express what I feel to meet with young social entrepreneurship, to talk and share ideas in order to lead a generation who embodies the spirit of making a positive impact globally.

I fell in love with Hult Prize since I was in my 1st year. Why? The reason is because it is aligned with my personal dream where young generations are standing in the front line in order to solve social issues in the world such as food hunger, poverty, air pollution, energy.

I joined Hult Prize for the first time as participant on campus competition at APU in the year 2017. I knew Hult Prize from my senior who inspire me to be more compassionate to others, as well as keep doing a right thing to make a positive impact for billions people out there. One week before the on campus competition, I spent more than 60 hours a week with my 3 teammates discussing about our business plan.

Our journey was like a marathon, it’s not about the speed but about consistency. I learned so many things after joining Hult Prize at APU and successfully managed to win the third place in Osaka for National Competition.

That’s why I choose Hult Prize to be a part of my University life and I would love to share this impact to the young generation in APU because I believe that social preneurship is the key to change the world.

Yes, we were at St. Marys school today for their Christmas Craft market grilling the famous sausage sizzle. Not so much sun but these wonderful people made it so much fun and full of blissfulness. Great to be part of this amazing community.
