Matipo Primary

Matipo Primary Matipo Primary is a well equipped, child-focused school in Te Atatu Peninsula. It is a well equipped school set in a very pleasant environment.

Matipo Primary is situated on a 2 hectare site adjoining the Henderson Creek Estuary and Taipari Reserve. Our staff and programmes are of the highest quality. The purpose of Matipo School is to educate the children of our community to the best of our ability. We do this in a positive, caring learning environment and aim to develop the whole child – physically, emotionally, intellectually, socially

and culturally. Children are seen as individuals and we aim that each child may grow to be the best person that they can be and that they may help others to do the same.

We hope that all our tamariki had a great time at our discos last night. Thank you to Darren Foster who kindly donated and set up our lights. We’re very thankful for your time and energy you put in to making it a great disco for everyone. 🪩

To all our wonderful supporters of our bake sale thank you for your donations. Lots of yummy baking was supplied and we are super grateful of your generosity. 🧁

To our helpers who helped supervise at the disco and man the bake sale stall we couldn’t do these without your help.🫶

To the wonderful teachers who showed us their dance moves and took part in the fun thank you. We hoped you loved it as much as the tamariki.

DJ Matua Jonnie thank you for the awesome tunes 🎧🎤 love your mahi.

We will update you soon with the final total of what we have fundraised.

Kia ora whānau

We are needing more baking donation slots to be filled for our upcoming disco next Wednesday. This is so we have enough baking to be sold at both discos. We are also short on volunteer helpers for supervision and selling at the bake sale table for our Year 4-6 disco.

Keep Collecting Those Apple Stickers!

A huge shout out to Maddie, whose enthusiasm and determination have inspired us all! Maddie has gone above and beyond, rallying family, friends, and even workplaces to help collect Apple Stickers for our school.

Please keep collecting your stickers over the coming months. Our next collection will take place in October, and we'll share more details closer to the time.

Every sticker counts and helps us earn valuable sports equipment and resources for our tamariki. Let's see how many we can collect together, Matipo!

We are incredibly proud to share that Mrs Levi has been awarded a secondment with NZCER to undertake an exciting research project exploring the connection between Physical Health and Education and Language Learning.

This is a fantastic opportunity and a reflection of the expertise, passion and dedication that Mrs Levi brings to our kura every day.

Mrs Levi will be away with us for Term 3, and while we will certainly miss her, we know she will do an amazing job and can't wait to hear about the impact of her important mahi.

Please join us in congratulating Mrs Levi and wishing her all the very best on this exciting journey!
