Today our House Leaders took part in a Zoom with students from Beijing First Experimental Primary School in China.
The class shared information about their school, retold the traditional tale of Mulan, and asked questions about life in New Zealand. In return, our leaders taught the students some phrases in Te Reo Māori and proudly performed Tohora Nui.
The biggest reaction of all came when our students explained that they don’t have lots of homework!
It was a wonderful opportunity for cultural exchange, connection, and learning from one another across the world.

Hoods Up, Volume Down – Supporting our Autistic Community
Wednesday 29th April at 10am, we’re inviting all our tamariki to take part in Hoods Up, Volume Down in support of Autism NZ.
This is a special opportunity to show understanding and support for members of our community who experience the world differently. By turning down the noise and popping our hoods up, we help raise awareness about sensory experiences for autistic people.
Students are encouraged to:
Wear their favourite hoodie
Together, we can help build empathy, inclusion, and support across our kura and community.
Ngā mihi for supporting this important kaupapa
