For St. Patrick’s Day, we embraced all things green with creative activities, laughter, and a touch of magic! 🍀 We also explored and celebrated NZ Sea Week, where our tamariki learned about the beauty of our oceans, sea life, and the importance of caring for our marine environment. 🌊🐠

🚒 Visit from Mount Wellington Fire Station 🚒

We had a very special visit from the firefighters at Mount Wellington Fire Station! 👨‍🚒👩‍🚒

The firefighters showed the children how a fire alarm works and used a piece of black cloth to pretend it was smoke. The children practised crawling low under the “smoke” to learn how to stay safe during a fire. They also got to see the firefighters’ uniforms up close and learned about their special gear.

Each child had the chance to sit inside the fire truck and explore what’s inside 🚒✨ The firefighters also demonstrated how to use the fire hose, and the children were thrilled to have a turn spraying water just like real firefighters. 💦
