Last week in the Early Learning School, our Under Two’s children enjoyed discovering the joy of music through hands-on exploration! 🎵

With a variety of instruments to explore, they experimented with different sounds, textures and rhythms through shaking, tapping and banging. Full of curiosity and delight, the children expressed themselves freely while building coordination, listening skills and confidence along the way. ✨

🧮 MATHEX 2026 🧮

What a fantastic evening of mathematics, teamwork and problem-solving!
This year, 110 schools took part in Mathex, an exciting competition where students race against the clock to solve challenging mathematical problems. Teams can earn up to 100 points, with 5 points awarded for every correct answer.

We are incredibly proud of how our ACG Sunderland teams performed, with our school even receiving several mentions from the commentator as teams reached the coveted 100-point mark! 🌟

Our results:
Year 7
Team 1: 95 points
Team 2: 60 points

A great first Mathex experience for many of our Year 7 students, with plenty to build on for next year!

Year 8
Team 1 – 100 points 🎉
Team 2 – 100 points 🎉

An outstanding achievement from both teams!

Year 9
Team 1 – 90 points
Team 2 – 85 points

Year 10
Team 1 – 100 points 🎉
Team 2 – 90 points

We are getting stronger every year, and we could not be prouder of the effort, teamwork, determination and enthusiasm shown by all of our students.

Congratulations to everyone who represented ACG Sunderland so brilliantly! 👏🧮🏆
