Huge Thank You to the Redoubt Stake Young Women!
What an incredible day of service at Rowandale School! On Saturday, May 30th, we were blessed to host a massive group of 50 amazing young ladies from the Redoubt Stake LDS Church Young Women’s Conference.
Embodying their theme of "Royal Hands & Hearts," these young women gave up their Saturday afternoon to show our school some serious love. Working alongside our wonderful Whaea Mareta and Matua Ene, they rolled up their sleeves and tackled a huge list of property tasks, including:
🧹 Cleaning and tidying school grounds
🌿 Weeding and pruning garden areas
🍂 Raking up leaves and clearing debris
⏳ Refilling the sandpit for our tamariki
We are forever grateful for their hard work, high energy, and beautiful spirit of service. Our school is looking so much better thanks to their efforts!
🌸 A Special Acknowledgement and thank you to our very own Mrs. Mina Savila Tamatoa, who leads this incredible group. She reached out weeks ago to organize this project, intentionally choosing to give back to and serve our Rowandale community. Thank you, Mrs. Tamatoa, for your leadership and vision!
To every young woman, leader, and helper involved—THANK YOU SO MUCH! Your royal hands and hearts have made a lasting difference❤️

💖Kindness Floods Rowandale School for Pink Shirt Day! 💖
What an incredible day we had on Thursday, May 21st! Our school grounds were transformed into a sea of pink as students and staff stood together to support the vital Pink Shirt Day kaupapa.
It was more than just a dress-up day; it was a powerful statement that at Rowandale School, we choose kindness, inclusion, and diversity. Highlights of the day included:
The Big Pink Disco: Our tamariki brought their best moves to the Whakamarumaru for an epic lunchtime dance-off!
Strike a Pose: The pink-themed photo booth was buzzing with smiles and solidarity.
Learning in Action: In our classrooms, we dove deep into what it means to be an upstander and how to build a safe environment for everyone.
A Huge Thank You! To every student who wore pink and every family who contributed a gold coin donation ($593.40), thank you! Your generosity helps support the ongoing work of promoting mental health and preventing bullying in Aotearoa.
Let’s keep this energy going—Kōrero Mai, Kōrero Atu, Mauri Tū, Mauri Ora! Speak Up, Stand Together, Stop Bullying! 🌸
