To celebrate 7 months of hard work on their writing projects, combining workshops with a variety of leading authors, personal mentoring and a great supportive group vibe, our 30 Wk Fiction / Memoir students (Tues night stream) dressed up for a celebratory night out. Go the class of 2026!

Te pai hoki! Our current Intro to Creative Writing course at work. A bunch of developing writers conjuring a story in five scenes out of their imaginations, all the while upskilling in storytelling craft: Great scene structure; the Hero's Journey; writing great dialogue; showing rather than telling; writing with an ear for the music of prose. I harikoa ratou!

Current 30Wk Fiction Course students Jessica and Zain, plus Tracey, working on their full length book projects at the Creative Hub this week. Kia kaha koutou katoa! Zane is writing a series of stories set in Gaza, Jessica an urban romance, and Tracey is telling the journey of a young woman growing up in the South Island, steeped in family history. Go the class of 2025-26!
