🌏 Happy Earth Day! 🌿
Today at our preschool room, we celebrated Earth Day by helping our tamariki learn how to care for our beautiful planet. Through hands-on activities, nature play, and meaningful conversations, children explored the importance of looking after the environment.
We talked about simple ways we can all make a difference like recycling, saving water, planting trees, and keeping our surroundings clean. The children showed great enthusiasm as they connected with nature, reminding us how small actions can create a big impact.
Let’s continue to nurture a love for Papatūānuku (Mother Earth) in our tamariki, encouraging them to grow into caring and responsible kaitiaki (guardians) of our world.

🐣 Our Easter Celebrations at Pitter Patter 🐰
We had a wonderful time celebrating Easter with our tamariki! From exciting egg hunts and creative art activities to music, movement, and lots of laughter, the room was filled with joy and curiosity.
It was so special to see children exploring, sharing, and enjoying these meaningful moments together. 💛

🌊✨ Celebrating NZ Sea Week! ✨🌊
Our tamariki explored the beauty of the moana through sensory play, art, and storytelling. From splashing water to discovering sea creatures, it was a wonderful way to build curiosity and care for our oceans. 🐚🐟

☘️Happy St Patrick’s Day from our tamariki! ☘️
We had a fun-filled day celebrating St Patrick’s Day! The children came dressed in green and enjoyed a variety of hands-on, creative experiences.
It was wonderful to see so much laughter, joy, and creativity as tamariki explored and learned through play. ☘️

Happy Holi! 🌈✨ Our tamariki thoroughly enjoyed celebrating Holi, the festival of colours! They delighted in exploring vibrant colours, playing together, and sharing laughter as they gently applied colours to one another. It was a wonderful way to discuss friendship, kindness, and the joy of celebrating diverse cultures from around the world. Through celebrations like Holi, our children learn about diversity, inclusion, and the beauty of different traditions. It was truly a colourful and happy day for everyone! 💛❤️💙💜

Happy Chinese New Year! 🧧
Our tamariki had a wonderful time learning about Chinese culture through stories, conversations, and creative activities. We explored the meaning behind this special celebration, talked about the zodiac, and enjoyed making festive art together.
Celebrating cultural events like this helps our children develop respect, curiosity, and appreciation for the diverse cultures within our community. Wishing everyone happiness, good health, and prosperity for the year ahead!
