Fixed Term Position | Part or Full-Time | Kumeū
Start date 5 October 2026. Initial six-month position with potential to extend. Hours:
Option A: 32 to 36 hours per week
Monday to Thursday, approximately 8.00/9.00am to 5.00pm
Option B: 24 to 26 hours per week
Monday & Wednesday, approximately 8.00/9.00am to 5.00pm
Tuesday & Thursday, approximately 8.00/9.00am to 12.00pm

A family in Kumeū are looking for a fun, caring and proactive nanny to join their family and care for their two boys, Mr C (4) and Mr O (2). They are looking for an initial six-month commitment, with the potential for the role to continue longer term.

Both boys are social, happy children who enjoy getting out and exploring. Mr C has a wonderful imagination and loves creative play, swimming and jiu-jitsu. He currently attends preschool and will be starting primary school in the new year. Mr O is relaxed and adventurous, loves being outdoors and is happiest when he can get out and discover the world around him. The boys have a great relationship and enjoy spending time together.

The family would love to find a nanny who is genuinely engaged with the boys and their interests, encourages their curiosity and takes the time to listen to their ideas and perspectives. Their ideal nanny will balance relaxed time at home with plenty of opportunities to get out and about, whether that’s trips to the zoo, MOTAT, Kelly Tarlton’s, local parks, bike rides or community activities. A calm, kind and consistent approach is important to this family. They believe in setting clear boundaries and following through in a firm but fair way, while always responding to the children with patience and connection. With Mr C preparing to start school in January, they would also love their nanny to support his growing independence and help make the transition to school a positive one.

Both boys attend preschool during parts of the week, including Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. For a nanny interested in the longer hours option, these child-free periods would provide dedicated time for meal preparation and household support. Duties may include preparing lunchboxes and the children’s dinner, keeping on top of child-related areas and helping with general household organisation where time allows. The children and their needs will remain the priority.

Dad works from home regularly from a separate office and Mum occasionally works from home or travels for work. The family are looking for someone proactive who can confidently manage the children’s day and naturally become part of their family rhythm.
The family are happy to arrange some paid handover time with their current nanny during the week before the role begins, giving the new nanny an opportunity to get to know the boys and their routines before starting. Strong references are essential.

- Full licence required
- Work vehicle provided
- Fully fenced outdoor area
- Hourly rate approx. $31 per hour, with some flexibility depending on experience and agreed hours
- Family joining Little Robins programme

Fixed-term Position | Part-Time | Long Bay / Millwater
Start date ASAP
Initial 6-month, fixed term position with the potential to continue ongoing. Hours are approximately Monday to Thursday, 3.00pm to 7.00/8.00pm. The family have some flexibility around these hours and are open to offering additional hours to secure the right nanny.

A family with two children, Mr L (8 years) and Miss A (4 years), are looking for a calm, caring and dependable nanny to support their children through the afternoons and evenings. The family are currently navigating a period of change and their biggest priority is finding someone who can provide the children with consistency, stability and a reassuring presence as they settle into a new family routine.

Mr L is an incredibly creative boy who loves drawing, storytelling, reading and gaming. He has ADHD and autism and can be tired after a busy school day, so benefits from a calm environment and support transitioning between activities, regulating screen time and having the space to unwind. Previous experience with neurodivergent children would be beneficial, but is not essential. More importantly, the family are looking for someone patient, understanding and able to provide calm and consistent care.
Miss A is a social and outgoing little girl who loves drawing, riding her bike, playing with friends and trips to the playground. The siblings are close and enjoy spending time together.

The role will centre around helping both children through the after-school, dinner and early evening routine. This may include school and daycare pick ups, preparing simple meals and snacks, spending quality time with the children and supporting relaxed transitions through the end of their day. Light household help such as folding laundry or a quick kitchen tidy would be appreciated when time allows, however the children are very much the priority.

Both parents work full-time with some flexibility to work from home. From late October, the children will spend time between homes in Long Bay and likely Millwater, so the nanny will need to be comfortable working across both locations and providing consistency for the children between households.
The family are looking for someone mature, kind and emotionally steady who genuinely enjoys connecting with children. Someone who understands the value of patience, predictable routines and meeting children where they are will be particularly well suited to this role.

- Full licence required
- Work vehicle may be available
- Hourly rate approximately $28 to $35 per hour, depending on experience
- Ongoing position, ideally with a minimum six-month commitment
- Family not joining Little Robins programme

Permanent Position | Part-Time | Mount Albert
Ideal start date: October 2026, negotiable. Hours are to be discussed with the family. Ideally 1 and a half days to start, likely increasing to 3 days in 2027.

A warm and busy Mount Albert family are looking for a caring, energetic nanny to join them as they welcome their third baby in October. With two young girls already in the family and a new baby on the way, they are looking for someone who can become a trusted extra pair of hands and grow with their family over the long term.

Miss H (3 years) and Miss L (1 year) are both happy, social and energetic little girls who love being outdoors and trying new things. Miss H is currently enjoying imaginative and pretend play, while Miss L loves being involved in whatever is happening around her. Both girls are curious, outgoing and enjoy plenty of interaction and activity.

The nanny will initially help care for the girls while Mum is at home with the new baby, with the role gradually developing into more regular care of the baby when Mum returns to work. The family are flexible around the days and hours initially, with Thursdays and a half day Friday preferred. From around May or June 2027, they anticipate the role increasing to approximately three days per week.

The role will include caring for the children, supporting their routines and development through play and everyday experiences, preparing meals and snacks, and helping with the practical parts of family life. There will also be some bottle feeding as the baby gets older. Light household support such as tidying up, children’s laundry and preparing dinner for the family will form part of the role. Taking the family dog for a walk would be a bonus, but is not essential.

The family are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys being around young children and is happy to get involved, have fun and encourage learning through play and new experiences. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a long-term position with a friendly family who are hoping to find someone who can become a valued part of their family life as they grow.

Permanent Position | Full-Time | Stillwater

Start date dependent on the arrival of baby and will be confirmed within the next 6 weeks. Hours are approximately Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 4.30pm (40 hours per week).

A warm and welcoming family in Stillwater are looking for an experienced newborn nanny to join them as they welcome their second child. This is a unique opportunity to become a long-term part of the family’s journey, supporting them through the early newborn months with the potential to continue on in a part-time capacity as their needs evolve.

The primary focus of this role will be caring for the family’s newborn son, due in late November. Their daughter, Miss A (3.5 years), attends daycare full-time and will generally only require care if she is unwell or unable to attend.
The family are looking for a calm, nurturing and confident nanny with substantial newborn experience who can provide attentive care from the very beginning. Duties will include bottle preparation, sterilising bottles, supporting breastfeeding by bringing baby to Mum for feeds, formula top-ups where required, settling, bathing, nappy changes, monitoring sleep routines and providing age-appropriate sensory and developmental play.

Around three weeks after baby’s arrival, Mum will begin working from home for a few hours each day, during which time the nanny will take sole charge of the baby. Outside of these periods, while Mum is caring for baby, the role will naturally transition into providing practical household support. This includes meal preparation, laundry, general household organisation and keeping the home running smoothly. The family have a regular cleaner, so this role is focused on day-to-day support rather than heavy cleaning. Baby will always remain the priority.

Both parents work from home from dedicated home offices and are looking for someone who will become a trusted part of their family. They value warmth, honesty and initiative, and would love to find a nanny who genuinely enjoys building long-term relationships and supporting children through their earliest stages of development.

The role will initially be full-time while baby is young. Once baby is approximately six months old and begins part-time daycare, the family anticipate reducing the role to part-time. They would love their nanny to continue with them if this arrangement suits both parties, however they completely understand if their nanny wishes to move into another full-time position at that stage.
This position will suit an experienced career nanny who is passionate about newborn care, understands infant development and enjoys balancing attentive childcare with practical support for a busy family.

- Hourly rate approximately $32 to $35 per hour, depending on experience

Fixed Term Position | Part-Time | Morningside

Ideal start date October 2026, negotiable depending on the candidate
This fixed term role will continue through until 23 December 2026. Hours are approximately Monday to Friday, 3.00pm to 6.00pm, however the family are flexible and happy to offer additional hours for the right nanny. They would also be open to an earlier start date, with daycare pick ups before school begins in October.

A friendly family in Morningside are looking for a fun, reliable nanny to support their son, Mr A (5 years), as he transitions into his first term of school. This role will suit someone who enjoys building strong relationships with children and creating relaxed, engaging afternoons after the school day.

Mr A is an easy-going, adventurous little boy with a great sense of humour. He loves being outdoors, playing with the family dog, reading books, telling stories and dressing up as everything from Spider-Man to dinosaurs. The family are looking for someone who will happily join in with his imagination while providing a safe, caring and consistent environment.
The role will primarily involve school pick up, preparing afternoon tea, supporting homework where needed and spending quality time with Mr A through play, outings and activities. There is also the opportunity to assist with preparing dinner, healthy baking, walking the family’s friendly Dachshund and other light household tasks if the nanny is interested in additional hours.

Both parents generally work away from home, although there may occasionally be a parent working from a separate office in the garden. The family value someone who is warm, dependable and proactive, and who can become a trusted part of their afternoon routine while Mum prepares for the arrival of their new baby early next year.

Permanent Position | Part-Time | Waitoki
Ideal start date as soon as possible.
Hours are 8.00am to 5.00pm, 2 days per week. There may occasionally be opportunities for an additional day, however this would not be guaranteed. (min. 18 hours per week)

This role centres around caring for Miss R, a young baby who is still in the early months of life. The family are looking for an experienced newborn nanny who can provide calm, nurturing and confident support as Mum balances family life and work within the family business.

Miss R is described as a sweet, alert and loving little girl who enjoys closeness, interaction and being soothed. She currently wears a Rhino harness and continues to need extra support with settling and daytime sleep, so the family are hoping to find someone experienced with young babies who feels confident following her routine and providing the reassurance she needs throughout the day.

The role is primarily focused on Miss R’s care, including bottle feeds, nappy and outfit changes, play, interaction and supporting her daily routines. During naps, the family are very relaxed and are happy for their nanny to take some downtime, with only occasional baby-related laundry if needed.

Mum will often be home working nearby and the family are hoping to find someone who feels like a natural fit within their household over the long term. They describe themselves as down-to-earth, family-oriented and easygoing, and would love Riley to build a strong and familiar bond with the same nanny over time.

The family also have three friendly dogs who are very much part of daily life, so being comfortable around animals is important. They would also love to find someone who may be open to occasional evening, weekend or overnight babysitting in the future, although this is entirely optional.
This position will suit an experienced newborn nanny who is warm, proactive and confident supporting babies through routines, settling and sleep. Experience caring for babies with additional physical support needs, such as a harness, would be highly regarded.
