๐Ÿ‡ผ๐Ÿ‡ธ Happy Samoan Language Week! ๐Ÿ‡ผ๐Ÿ‡ธ

This week we celebrate the beauty of the Samoan language, culture, and traditions.

The 2026 theme, *"โ€˜E afua mai i mauga tetele manuia o le 'nu'u โ€“ From the high mountains are the blessings of the village,"* reminds us of the importance of community, service, and the strength that comes from working together.

At St Therese School, we are proud of the rich diversity within our school and give thanks for the languages, cultures, and stories that help make our community so special.

๐Ÿงญ๐ŸŒณ Mt Roskill Zone Orienteering

Yesterday our Year 5 & 6 students competed in the Mt Roskill Zone Orienteering Course. Using their map-reading and navigation skills, students worked together in pairs to find their way around the course.

We were super proud of every team for completing the course in great time and showing fantastic teamwork, perseverance, and problem-solving along the way! ๐Ÿ’›

๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ๐ŸŒ Celebrating Pentecost Together

A beautiful celebration of Pentecost and the way our faith brings such wonderful diversity together. Pentecost reminds us of the moment the Holy Spirit came upon the disciples and people from many nations and languages were united through Godโ€™s message of love and hope.

It was so special to see our students proudly dressed in their cultural clothing, celebrating the many cultures, backgrounds, and stories that make up our St Therese community. ๐Ÿ’›

๐Ÿ’— Pink Shirt Day at St Therese School

It was wonderful to come together as a school community to celebrate Pink Shirt Day. Our Room 6 students led an amazing assembly, reminding us all about the importance of kindness, inclusion, and standing together against bullying. Their message was clear โ€” bullying has no place in our world.

Congratulations to all of our certificate recipients and students who shared during the celebration.

We would also like to sincerely thank our community for your generous donations towards our fundraiser for the day, kindly organised by Mrs D'Lima, raising money for the Breast Cancer Foundation. We are so grateful for the generosity and care shown by our St Therese community. ๐Ÿ’›

๐Ÿ’– A Special Morning for the Amazing Women in Our Lives

What an absolute treat it was to be able to pamper the mums, grandmas, nanas, aunties, and all the special women in our studentsโ€™ lives who were able to join us on Friday.

From hand soaking and massages to nail painting, cupcakes, and bubbly juice โ€” it was all go and very much pretty in pink! ๐Ÿ’…๐Ÿง๐Ÿ’•

Our gratitude for all that you do cannot truly be expressed in words, but we hope that through these small acts of care and love, you felt just how appreciated and valued you are by our school community. Thank you for making the day so special.

๐Ÿ’๐ŸŽถ So Much Love in Every Action

Our Year 0 and 1 students did a beautiful job sharing their dance at the Motherโ€™s Day liturgy on Friday. The love, joy, and care in their actions and voices made for such a special moment. Here is a video from their practice.

๐Ÿ’ Motherโ€™s Day Liturgy

Thank you to our community for the amazing turnout at our Motherโ€™s Day Liturgy on Friday. It was a beautiful celebration, and we were so proud of the reverence and participation shown by our students throughout the liturgy. ๐Ÿ’›

Unfortunately, we were so engrossed in the celebration that we forgot to take photos on the day itself โ€” but here are some special moments from the practice the day prior. Thank you again to everyone who attended and helped make the occasion so meaningful.

๐Ÿโœจ Primary Netball Player of the Day

A huge congratulations to our recent Primary Netball Team Player of the Day recipients! ๐Ÿ’›

Last week, Lavinia was recognised for her fantastic defensive skills on the court, and in todayโ€™s game, Penelope received Player of the Day for her excellent work in the attack position.

We are so proud of you both! Keep it up, team โ€” itโ€™s been a great start to the season, and your improvement already has been amazing to see.
