On Tuesday, 4 August the Whāraurau team came together in Tāmaki Makaurau | Auckland for our team day. A key focus for us this time was understanding our Peak Performance philosophy statement, which has been in development since we joined the Wise Group whānau in January.
Our CE, Abi Milnes, introduced the statement and focused on our top 8 challenges as an organisation. These challenges provide a roadmap for our mahi, monitoring our performance and progress as an organisation. They also support our journey towards our Greatest Imaginable Challenge: that the infant, child, adolescent and youth mental health and wellbeing workforce is measurably more skilled, connected and confident.
The team also heard from Hine Martin, Kaiwhakahaere Mana Taurite | Director, Health Equity at the Wise Group. Hine presented on the history of Te Tiriti, and explored the responsibility Whāraurau has to uphold its articles as an integral part of our mahi.
It was a valuable day of reflection, connection, and looking ahead to how we can continue strengthening our work—to empower the workforce so that every mokopuna and their whānau can thrive.
