🌧️ PLANTING DAY POSTPONED

Unfortunately, due to the heavy rain forecast for tomorrow, we’ve made the difficult decision to postpone our Fruit Tree Planting Day.

We’re really disappointed, but want this to be an enjoyable day for everyone. We’ll let you know a new date as soon as we can.

Last weeks Bio-char workshop with the Burnmaster himself🔥🔥🔥Robert Mignault .

We learnt the benefits and basic principles of Biochar-making by burning wood and branches into a charcoal-like residue. The result is a soil additive which contributes greatly to plant and soil health while also directly sequestering carbon back to the earth fohundreds of years.

Feast your eyes on this great selection of midwinter greens that are thriving in the garden despite this polar blast. Such a valuable source of health for all our volunteer gardeners and we always harvest enough for the Community Foodbags which are distributed from the Massey Community Hub each week. 🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿

Thankyou to these lovely ladies who do an amazing service each week by volunteering their time for the weekly Community foodbags distribution.
They just love it when we turn up with garden-fresh greens from our magic maara next door.

A midwinter garden, the trees are bare🪾 nothing to see here, until spring, then 💥boom!💥 flowers explode🌼 and 🍀green leaves ☘️🍀are everywhere. Nature never ceases to amaze
