Hello ACTA Friends!

It's reunion time! Remember all these lovely faces?
We thought you might like to know that some of our previous ACTA students are getting back onstage together. Three different ACTA generations in fact!

ACTA's Artistic Director Janine Donnell was living in Washington Heights and working in the Broadway District in NYC when COVID-19 hit. With Broadway shut down indefinitely she returned home and together with Oliver Hawke is producing a musical tribute to all the people in the arts industry around the world that have been negatively affected by Covid-19.

The COVID-19 pandemic was the indubitable “show stopper” of 2020, but as the saying goes….”the show must go on!”

So come along and join in the fun at BROADWAY & BEYOND! See all your old ACTA friends who are all grown up now and support your old ACTA friends who are performing in the show and helping behind the scenes!

🎭 ACTA's FINAL CURTAIN 🎭

Since it’s founding in 1998 ACTA has been an industry leader in the performing arts. With the considerable experience and innovative vision of its founders – Ken and Doreen Donnell, and the excellent support of our tutorial staff, patrons, trustees and many volunteers we have enjoyed an outstanding history of success and achievements, training children and young people in NZ.

Our students have achieved the highest marks in NZ and the world, in Trinity College of London Musical Theatre and Singing examinations and had outstanding success winning scholarships and championships at several singing competitions throughout NZ. Many students have been cast in major roles in their school productions, society shows and international professional musicals, and represented ACTA in many public performances, community events and festivals. Several ACTA graduates have also won places at prestigious performing arts schools globally and are currently working professionally in NZ and worldwide.

As we take our final bow we would like to say how grateful we are for all your support and everything it has helped us accomplish and achieve. We are extremely proud to have given NZ children and young people the opportunity over the last 20 years, to pursue their interest or prepare for a career in the performing arts. As the curtain descends we say a final thank you and farewell as ACTA exits.....stage left.
