We work in primary and intermediate schools to provide children with the knowledge to make positive choices about health, build resilience and celebrate their uniqueness. Life Education’s work enhances the quality of children's lives, with the purpose of educating and empowering children to make healthy decisions so they can live their lives to the fullest. Our programme focuses on building strong

, healthy and confident children in partnership with our local schools. Every lesson is planned to suit particular age groups and through annual visits, this information is retained, built upon and used by our students as they grow. Our Māori name Waiora Tamariki was gifted to us by the team at the airport marae, Te Manukanuka o Hoturoa.

Harold's mobile classrooms have been changing young lives for generations, helping children learn about their health, wellbeing, and making positive choices. Sadly, our mobile classrooms now require major repairs, and Harold's piggy bank is running low.

One of the easiest ways to help is by joining Harold's Club for as little as $10 per month.

As a member, you'll receive:

✅ A Harold keyring and thank you card when you join
✅ A birthday card on your birthday
✅ A photo opportunity with Harold after six months of membership, featured on our page
✅ A special Harold cuddly toy after 12 months
✅ Entry into a draw to enjoy a summer picnic with Harold and four guests

Harold thoroughly enjoyed spending time at Sandspit Road School, St James Kidsway and Pukekohe High School Childcare Centre where he learnt about the developing brain, big feelings, the clues our bodies give us and how to use our five senses to calm our emotions. He particularly enjoyed finding out how all of this this can impact his friendships and how to show empathy towards others. All of these visits were run inside the schools' own classrooms and Harold was very relieved to escape his special giraffe carrier and stretch his legs for some high fives and dancing!

When you think of Life Education Trust and Healthy Harold, you will likely associate us with the Health learning area, but did you know we also cover aspects of Social Sciences and Science? We can deliver programmes across all three learning areas, integrating these into what schools are already doing or introducing learning that you are planning to cover in class.
