We are delighted to announce that this year’s judge for NOURISH, is Rachel Carter.() Rachel is a Tāmaki Makaurau based potter who creates small batch ceramics focusing on tableware. As an artist Rachel produces work handcrafted with traditional methods to enhance the rituals of daily life. Her pieces bring a calm beauty to their environment, and although refined in their appearance, each one is designed for everyday use and appreciation.
In addition to her explorative work and art practice, Rachel collaborates on bespoke pieces and commissions with New Zealand’s leading Chefs, Hoteliers, Architects and Designers. Thank you Rachel for agreeing to judge for us. We look forward to it.

Tutor spotlight:

Joelle is one of our beloved Tuesday morning tutors and started her journey with ASP by completing the Diploma of Ceramics Arts. Joelle is a raku and slipcasting queen, and accomplished wood fired, and an extraordinary designer that has won accolades at the World of WearableArt (WoW). Along with her precious dog, Susie, Joelle is a joy to have around ASP and we’re so appreciative of her skills, enthusiasm, and energy.
