OUr children enjoyed taking part in a variety of Samoan cultural activities. They have created beautiful lava-lava, with natural resources, made bracelets from leaves and designed beautiful headbands using green paper, flowers and leaves. Children also worked together to bake delicious Samoan coconut bun, which they enjoyed sharing with their friends during meal time.
These experiences supported creativity, team work and an appreciation of Samoan culture and traditions. The children also learned that people around the world celebrate different traditions. It was wonderful way to learn, create and celebrate together.

Teachers and children of Smart Kids Educare wore pink to stand up against bullying and showing support for kindness and inclusion. Children have learnt to respect each other, valuing others interest and showing kindness in their play by using kind words, 'lets play together'. They have also engaged in painting pink shirts through which they have learnt to cooperate while sharing the resources with each other.

We had a great mothers day celebration at our centre. Mum's joined us for special morning tea. which we have organised at our centre. Children drew pictures and made cards for their mums. Making cards and sharing memories helped children to express their emotions and feelings. They have also made a gift by decorating photo frames with their pictures which brought out their creativity. Children have presented their cards and the gifts 🎁 they made for their mums during our event.
Thank you, mothers, for making it a special day.

This week, being road safety week, teachers talked to children about road safety and how to keep themselves safe on the roads. Teachers showed them pictures of roads and traffic lights, and then they engaged children in various discussions and sang the traffic light songs. Children also role played outdoors and also did some paintings.
Children have understood simple road rules like holding adults' hands, looking both ways, walking, no running, using pedestrian crossings, stopping at red light, and going only when traffic light turns green. Through this children have learnt about safe habits.
