Dancing, Moving and Having Fun! đŸŽ”

The children had a wonderful time dancing to a variety of fun action songs. They happily joined in with the music, clapping their hands, stomping their feet, shaking their hands and moving their bodies. There were lots of smiles, giggles and laughter as the children enjoyed following the actions together. Some children enjoyed repeating their favourite actions again and again!

The children listened carefully to the songs and tried to copy the different movements. They moved their bodies to the beat, followed the actions and enjoyed dancing with their friends. It was lovely to see everyone joining in with confidence and having fun together. The room was filled with music, movement and happy laughter!

Through this activity, the children developed their gross motor skills, body coordination, balance and listening skills. Dancing also helped them build confidence, self-expression and awareness of their bodies. By joining in as a group, the children also practised social skills, turn-taking and enjoying shared experiences with their friends.

Learning through play, friendship and imagination! 🌟

Today, we noticed some of our children enhancing their pretend play skills as they engaged in a fun makeup experience with their friends. The children took turns pretending to be makeup artists and clients, using their imagination to recreate familiar experiences from their everyday lives.

Through this play, children were developing their social skills, communication, cooperation, and creativity. They practised taking turns, sharing ideas, and interacting positively with their friends while enjoying lots of laughter and fun. đŸ„°

It was wonderful to see their confidence grow as they expressed themselves through imaginative play and created their own little beauty salon experience! 💕💄✹

On 4th September, we celebrated Father’s Day with a special morning tea at our centre. The children helped decorate the centre with their beautiful artwork, creating a warm and welcoming space for our fathers and whānau.

Our dads joined us for a lovely morning tea and enjoyed the delicious food. To make the celebration even more meaningful, the children presented their dads with beautiful handmade cards that they had lovingly created.

It was a wonderful day filled with smiles, laughter and precious moments shared together. Thank you to all our fathers and whānau for joining us and making the celebration so special!

Our little tamariki have been busy creating something very special for their dads and father figures this Father's Day!

With lots of excitement and curiosity, our tamariki enjoyed making beautiful greeting cards using their handprints. Each little handprint represents a precious memory, love, and a heartfelt gift made especially for someone very special.

This experience encouraged our tamariki to explore colours and textures while developing their fine motor skills, creativity, confidence, and sense of belonging. Most importantly, they experienced the joy of creating something meaningful for their whanau.

At our centre, we believe that learning happens through meaningful experiences, relationships, and play. We love providing opportunities where tamariki can express themselves, make choices, and celebrate the people who are important in their lives.

Our children enjoyed some fun Father’s Day activities.

The children coloured a picture of a father and child. While colouring, they also talked about who they would like to give their picture to.

In another activity, the children decorated a tie cut-out using different craft materials such as stars and hearts. They also added a moustache to their ties, which made them look extra fun!

Through these activities, children developed their fine motor skills by colouring, sticking and placing craft materials. They used their creativity to decorate their ties. Children also developed their language skills by talking and sharing their ideas. They learned to express their love and feelings towards their family and enjoyed making something special for their loved ones.

Our centre proudly registered to take part in Daffodil Day fundraising. Teachers talked with the children about the meaning and importance of Daffodil Day and how fundraising can help support people affected by cancer.

The children participated in a range of meaningful activities, including colouring daffodil flowers and creating beautiful daffodils through various craft experiences. On Friday, both children and teachers dressed in yellow to show their support and raise awareness for this important cause.

As part of our fundraising efforts, the children contributed by making bracelets, daffodil flowers, bookmarks, and keychains. These handmade creations were shared with our centre community. Parents and whānau generously supported the event by purchasing them.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all our parents and whānau for their generosity and for supporting our fundraising event for such a meaningful cause. It was wonderful to see our children, teachers, parents, and whānau coming together .

Our little learners celebrated Daffodil Day through a fun and creative finger-painting experience!

The children explored the bright colours of yellow, orange, and green as they transformed their daffodil flowers into beautiful works of art using their fingers. Through this hands-on activity, they enjoyed a rich sensory experience, developed their fine motor skills, strengthened hand-eye coordination, and developing awareness in recognising and naming different colours. Most importantly, our tamariki were encouraged to express their creativity, and learn through play.

At our centre, we believe in providing meaningful experiences that support children's development while fostering curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning.
