To our girl Jenna — thank you for the leadership, loyalty & love you bring to ADT every single day. Your talent speaks for itself, but it’s the hard work and dedication you put in behind the scenes that makes you even more special. You uplift everyone around you & the team wouldn’t be the same without you. Hope your milestone birthday is as beautiful as you are ✨

TRIBUTE TO TE-INA TAPURAU (Tiko/Junior)
Today we honour the memory of a man whose heart beat in rhythm with the drums of our islands, whose soul carried the music of our people, and whose spirit will forever dance through the lives he touched, as his family lays him to rest.
Te-Ina Tapurau - affectionately known as either Tiko or Junior - was more than a musician, more than a mentor. He was a taunga, a keeper of our culture, a bridge between generations, and a generous soul who gave freely of his talents and his heart.
Tiko's hands knew the ancestral rhythms of our people. As a master drummer, gifted string musician, and composer, he didn't just play our music - he lived it, breathed it, and shared it with the world. A true taunga of the performing arts, he became our cultural ambassador through the Cook Islands National Arts Theatre, leading teams to Hawaii and across the Pacific, ensuring that wherever he went, the beauty and power of Cook Islands heritage followed.
To our current girls' tutor, Tiko was the one who lit the cultural spark that now burns bright in the next generation. To countless ADT members - both past and present - he was a mentor, an inspiration, and a friend. When we visited Rarotonga for our 25th anniversary celebration, Tiko didn't just provide the drums that made our performances possible - he joined us on stage, sharing in our joy and our memories. Even when visiting Auckland, he would make time to join our team on gigs, bringing his expertise and enthusiasm wherever Cook Islands culture was being celebrated.
Tiko was a leader who led by example, a teacher who taught through love, and a friend who gave without counting the cost. He believed in the power of our culture to heal, to unite, and to inspire - and he lived that belief every day of his life. The drums may be quiet today, but tomorrow they will sound again - and when they do, we will hear Tiko's rhythm, feel his passion, and carry forward the precious gift he gave us all: the knowledge that culture is love made visible.
To Minora, the kids and the wider family, we offer our deepest condolences and heartfelt gratitude. Thank you for sharing his heart with us.
