What a fun-filled week it has been so far!

We enjoyed numeracy learning, Autumn Leaves Day, exploring Samoan culture and language, and a cozy pajama and movie day. Through these meaningful play experiences, we are supporting our tamariki to connect with nature and the wider world while feeling emotionally safe and supported.

It has been wonderful to see our tamariki learning, laughing, and enjoying every moment together. We still have more exciting activities planned and can’t wait for the rest of the week ahead!

Our tamariki recently visited Hill School Primary as part of their transition-to-school journey 😊

The children explored the classroom environment, joined in yoga and mindfulness activities, shared conversations about emotions, and enjoyed hands-on learning through play.

It was lovely to see how confident and comfortable our tamariki were in the school environment, showing how everyday our transition-to-school curriculm is helping prepare them for this next step. 📕✏️

Today our daycare was filled with pink, smiles, and kindness 💗

We loved seeing our children and teachers come together to support the message behind Pink Shirt Day. At our centre, we believe every child should feel safe, included, and cared for.

Kindness, friendship, and respect are things we try to teach and show every day, and today was a lovely reminder of how important that is. Thank you to our families for helping us celebrate and stand together in the spirit of kindness and inclusion 💕

To all the whaea, mums, step-mums, grandmas, nanas and mother figures in our lives - today is for you!

For the early starts, the big hugs, the long nights, and the endless love in so many different forms… we see it, and we appreciate it.

Mother’s Day is a special time to celebrate all the amazing mums in our lives 🌷

We’ve been busy having fun making Mother’s Day cards 💌, baking sweet treats as special gifts 🎁

Through these activities, our tamariki are learning to show love and say “thank you” in creative and meaningful ways 💖

We have also hosted a Mother’s Day morning tea in the staff room ☕, and warmly invited all mums to come and celebrate with us 🥰

A MEANINGFUL WEEK!

We learned about Anzac Day and got creative by making a special Anzac Day collage and handprint art 🌺 The children enjoyed exploring and talking about why this day is important.

We also had an exciting visit from our local Police 🚓 This was a great way to connect our learning, as we talked about how Anzac Day is about remembering people who served in the past, and how police help serve and protect our community today.

A fun week full of creativity, learning, and new experiences!

What a fun Animal Day we had! 🐾

Our children wore their animal masks, made lots of silly animal sounds, and moved just like their favourite animals—running, jumping, hopping, and even stomping around. There were so many different animals and lots of laughter.

Such a happy, playful day for all! 🦁🐈🦄

Our tamariki were SO excited when they saw them — safe to say there were lots of big smiles all around! Definitely made the day extra sweet 😄

Messy Art Day 🎨💛

Our tamariki turned into little artists, rolling marbles through paint and watching the colours go everywhere. Lots of laughs, lots of mess, and lots of bright, colourful artwork! 🌈

We also enjoyed free outdoor painting, giving everyone space to explore, create, and get as messy as they liked.

Everyone had a go and loved making their own creations. Such a fun, happy day! 😊
