Do you love coming up with new business ideas? Do you want to refine your skills on real-life companies? Do you want to prepare for a career in business consulting?

We are looking for the next four competitors to represent AUT at the National Case Competition, to be held at University of Waikato on Saturday May 28th. Teams will spend 5 hours analysing a real-life company, developing a strategy, and presenting your pitch back to the actual company - using the same approach used by real-life business consultants working at the 'Big 4'!

No experience needed, just commitment to the one-per week (2-hour) training, and to learning as much as you can through the process 😀

The dates of National competitions this year are: Round 1: 9th April Round 2: 28th May Round 3: 30th July There are also online international competitions we will enter.

Want to kick-start your career, stand out from the crowd of graduates, and have a great time doing it?

We are looking for undergraduate students (any degree, any major) to represent AUT in case competitions for 2022. These competitions involve teams of 4 being given a real-life business challenge, and having 5-hours to solve the problem, and develop a strategy/product solution (including full implementation plan and financials). You then present back to the company and other industry judges.
The best teams have a wide variety of skills, so we are not just looking for business students (although business students are, of courses, welcome), any student who is enthusiastic, keen to learn, reliable, and ready to show up and represent AUT, is welcome to apply! Full training is provided, and no background knowledge is needed.
Our previous team members have found the experience one of the most rewarding in their university time – and have gained access to internships and industry and consulting positions as a result of being part of the team.
At times (COVID dependant!), we travel – either within NZ, or occasionally to international competitions. All travel and accommodation is paid for in these situations.
