***Every Day Counts – Attendance Matters***
76.3% Percent today - 90% MOE expectation
Today we noticed that student attendance was significantly lower than usual. While we understand that the wet weather may have made getting to school more challenging, rain is not a rea*on for children to stay home.
As we move into the winter months, we can expect more days of rain, colder temperatures, and less settled weather. It is important that we continue to prioritise regular school attendance so that students do not miss valuable learning opportunities.
Regular attendance greatly helps your child’s learning but also helps children maintain friendships, routines, confidence, and a sense of belonging at school.
We understand that there will be times when children are genuinely unwell and need to stay home. However, if your child is healthy and able to participate in learning, we encourage them to attend school, even when the weather is less than ideal.
Working together, we can ensure that every child has the best opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed. Thank you for your ongoing support in making school attendance a priority.
Remember: Every day counts, every lesson matters, and every child deserves the opportunity to learn.
