General Nursery Worker position

Description:
Seaview Nurseries 2010 Ltd is a wholesale plant nursery based in Brookby, Auckland and provides a large range of plants nationwide to large chain stores, garden centres and landscapers. Seaview specializes in houseplants, ferns, succulents and palms.

- 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, hours 8:00am - 4:30pm
- Physically fit and enjoy working outdoors
- Have a great attitude and get along with people
- Are focused and enjoy a fast-paced environment
- Hardworking with a willingness to learn
- Be able to work on their own as well within a team environment
- Horticulture experience would be helpful
- Own Transport to and from work

General Nursery worker/ casual delivery driver:

This is a hands-on role in the nursery, helping with plant care and general nursery work. Reporting to your general supervisor. It will suit someone who enjoys working outdoors, is physically fit and able to work within a team.

- Class 2 driver's license is preferred
- Casual deliveries once a week will be needed

Rhopalostylis Sapida (Nikau NZ) 3.3L Multi - Slow growing, cold hardy, New Zealand palm. Feather-like leaves arising from a swollen crown shaft. Smooth trunk decorated with prominent, closely packed rings. Protect from high winds. Will tolerate dark, shady conditions. Young plants need moist conditions and protection from direct sun.

Phoenix Roebellini 3.3L - Thick crown of narrow, arching, dark green fonds. Short slender stem toughens with age. Plant in well drained soil. Water sparingly in winter.

Rhopalostylis Baueri Nikau Kermadec 1.3L Multi - Iconic palm with robust, dark green leaves. Hardy to coastal conditions, drought, wind, frost and most soils. Suitable for outdoor containers or as a landscape plant.

Philodendron Green Spear 1.3L - Glossy green spear shaped leaves and compact growth make this a top choice for an exotic houseplant that makes a real statement, happy in mid to shady positions.

Haworthia Truncata 1.3L - Is a species of succulent plant. Fascinating spreading stemless plant that looks like a small grape cluster and makes little colonies.

Coprosma Poor Knights 2.5L - Is a resilient ground cover with shiny, leathery green leaves.

Cordyline Australis Sundance 2.5L - Is a palm like evergreen shrub. Has green leaves and a pink mid-rib.

Monstera Deliciosa 1.3L - Dark green leaves that develop lobes and holes as they grow. Mature plants may produce edible fruits. Plant in moist, well drained soil in part shade or bright indirect light.

Philodendron Birkin 3.3L - Grows to become a compact plant of rounded leaves which display dramatic variegated lines across their leaves. The Birkin prefers to be in bright, well-lit spaces although is can tolerate mild shade.
