Our Early Childhood Education students have been working hard to create resources for children. These resources were made for Matariki, and a special Matariki display was set up in their classroom. Our learners will be able to make use of these resources when they undertake their work placements at Early Childhood Education Centres.

Some of our Early Childhood Education students are coming to the end of their programme and decided to celebrate with a Pyjama Dumpling Day.

Students and lecturers came to class in their pyjamas on Wednesday and made dumplings together. Some students also brought traditional homemade dishes to share.

The event allowed students to showcase their cooking skills and share some homemade food. The activity also helped prepare them for the world of work as Early Childhood Centres often host fun activities such as Pyjama Days, Bike Days, and Teddy Bear Days.

We marked Matariki with waiata, karakia, kai, and student presentations and performances last week. We also heard about the story of Matariki. The event was celebrated across three campuses and online. Thank you to all of our students and staff who participated.

We're looking for families in the Takapuna and Hillcrest areas who would like help from a trainee Nanny for two weeks from Monday 29 April until Friday 10 May.
