Wellington Fashion Tech students recently visited Te Papa to attend Feathermania - Fashion to Die for and Rita Angus exhibitions, and was asked to design 3 garments and a blind contour drawing inspired by what they saw.

Meet current Diploma in Apparel + Fashion Technology student Alexandra Simpson ()
Although the new date has not been announced yet, the anticipation continues to grow. This excitement is particularly prevalent for Whitecliffe School of Fashion + Sustainability student, sewing tutor and model Ali who was handpicked to showcase her emerging namesake fashion line at the highly anticipated event.

New Life ( )
A theatrical, upcycled fashion and art show displaying the lives of young creatives in Aotearoa.
We have been working with a team of young, local creatives to design and make jewellery, short videos, upcycled garments and original artwork that will be displayed in a half hour show at the New Zealand academy of Fine Arts on the 5th and 12th of March.
Creatively directed by Angels Wellington and James Warrender out of Sector 22 (creative studio based in Wellington).
Date: 5th and 12th March 2022

Fashion Tech Lecturer Claire Palmer recently got her students involved in a work experience project. They did a production run of reusable face masks which they donated to The Neonatal Trust in hopes to help them fundraise - and the feedback they have received is phenomenal!
Fantastic work for all those involved!

Fashion Tech student Jordan Tay talks about his inspiration for his Resene Colour of Fashion piece, and how it connects him to his roots.
The garment will be shown at a postponed Fashion Week in 2022, and Whitecliffe Fashion Tech’s graduate runway show in December, pandemic permitting.
