Recognition for one of our amazing netball coaches! We couldnβt rein our programme without amazing volunteers like Stacie! π«ΆπΌ
Our incredible Volunteer Giveback Winner is Stacie Haines!
Stacie has dedicated more than nine years to volunteering as both a coach and umpire at Hobsonville Point Secondary School. What makes her contribution even more remarkable is that she has no family connection or affiliation with the school - she simply gives her time because of her passion for netball and her commitment to giving back.
Stacie creates an incredible culture within every team she coaches, making every player feel valued, supported and connected. She is there for her players at all hours, always willing to help, encourage and guide them both on and off the court.
Her selfless dedication, generosity and love for the game have had a lasting impact on so many young athletes and the wider netball community.

FOR THE MOUNTAIN BIKERS!! Exciting year ahead ππΌ
Some exciting changes have been underway behind the scenes. As posted previously the MTB clubs and Bike Parks of Auckland have all come together to form the Auckland Schools MTB Collab.
These clubs are ...
Auckland Mountain Bike Club β Auckland (as Auckland Schools XC MTB)
Auckland Downhill Club - Dome Valley
Pohutukawa Coast Mountain Bike Club β Maraetai
Jaffa Kids Mountain Bike Academy β Riverhead / Woodhill
Totara Park MTB Club β Totara Park, Manukau
West Coast Riders Club β Riverhead
Woodhill Bike Parks β Woodhill
Fourforty Gravity Bike Park β Kawakawa
With Mountain Biking previously being the largest unsanctioned Auckland school sport, the good news is that MTB is now officially approved within College Sport Auckland and the Auckland region as a secondary schools sport.
This will see the events of 2025 being the Auckland Schools XC Series, The Shreddar Funduro Series and the Auckland Downhill Champs being brought together in 2026 and "officially" become sanctioned within the Auckland Secondary Schools sports platform.
It will also help towards rankings for riders and start orders in other regional and national schools mtb events.
There are some slight changes from last year.....
Secondary Schools students will now register / enter the event through their school sports administrators.
Intermediate School Students will continue to register / enter the event through the event registration portal directly.
Both registration platforms will close off 12pm of the Tuesday prior to the event.
Watch this space for event entry links ...

What weβre all about! This is our WHY ππΌ
Physical activity can make a big difference for our kids. Research shows those who stay active through school sports, kapa haka, PE, or kicking a ball around with mates at lunchtime, are more likely to:
π engage in learning
π
stay in school longer
πΎ achieve more
π boost their wellbeing
Thatβs four great reasons to encourage your child to join a sport or club this term, or next year.
