Don Buck School operates an enrolment scheme. Students who live within the school’s home zone are entitled to enrol at the school. Our Board of Trustees has determined that there is up to ten places for children aged 5 and 6 years old, who live outside our school zone. Applications are now open for out-of-zone enrolments for 2026. Please see attached information sheet for more details. If you have any questions about this process please be in contact with us here in the office.

Today our tamariki proudly celebrated our amazing Kaiawhina as part of our early Support Staff Week 2026 celebrations.

Our kura would not be what it is without their incredible energy, their manaaki, and their deep aroha for our place and our tamariki. Every day they support learning, relationships, wellbeing, and the many moments in between that help our school thrive.

We are so grateful for all they do behind the scenes and alongside our tamariki each day.

If you’re around school at all, please take a moment to give our Kaiawhina a shoutout and thank them for the difference they make in our kura.

It's Whānau week at our kura and I can't wait to run our kai and kōrero sessions in our staffroom on the following days and times:

Wednesday: 8:30am to 9:30am
Friday: 8:30am to 9:30am

All welcome to attend this great opportunity for us to come together and find out more about what's on top with you, and come together on ways we can make our awesome kura even more exceptional!

After 3 years of fundraising and planning the brand new Don Buck School Bike Track is open! Thank you so so much to all our funders and key people who made this incredible 300 metre track possible. 💙🖤🚲

Kia ora tātou.

Due to the weather forecast not looking the best for tomorrow we are rescheduling our Bike Track opening to 9:30am. All welcome to come join the fun! Tamariki are welcome to bring their bikes, scooters, and skateboards tomorrow to enjoy our bike track!
