A special day for our kura.

“Tū teitei i te wao, ki te kore koutou, mā wai e mihi te rā.”

Today, we were privileged to take part in the Mana Kura Kauri Planting Day at Te Piringa in Te Wao Nui ā Tiriwa. Alongside our partners, Te Kawerau ā Maki and Auckland Council, we planted a young kauri tree as part of the ongoing kaupapa to restore and protect our precious ngahere for future generations.

This was a meaningful opportunity to strengthen our connection to the whenua, learn from mana whenua, and play our part in the regeneration of our native forests. We look forward to visiting our tree in the years ahead and watching it grow as a lasting symbol of our commitment to kaitiakitanga.

A huge thank you to our tamariki Mana, Nonga, and Poumilo who represented our kura amazingly. We are incredibly proud of you.
