πβ¨ A Special Visit from Author Melinda! β¨π
We were incredibly lucky to have a special guest on site real life author, Melinda, who worked with learners across our entire school.
It was absolutely fascinating to hear her share the "secret ingredients" of how stories are made, where her inspiration comes from, and what it really takes to bring a book to life. Our learners were captivated!

βοΈ East Auckland Interschools Chess Championship! βοΈ
On Wednesday 20th, Point View School was incredibly proud to host the 2026 NZCF East Auckland Interschools Chess Championship!
It was an absolute joy to welcome 16 schools from across the East Auckland region to our campus. Together, our community positively supported 38 teams of enthusiastic students as they went head-to-head in a fantastic display of strategy, focus, and sportsmanship.
We want to extend a massive thank you to all the attending teachers, coordinators, and parent volunteers who helped make the day run so smoothly. Our own PVS learners had an amazing time taking part, testing their skills, and doing what they love!

π Term 2 Attendance: Look at us Go π
A massive WELL DONE to our wonderful Point View School community, we have officially hit an incredible 95% attendance rate so far this term! Thank you to all our families for your amazing effort in getting our learners to school every day.
As a reminder, the government has set a target for all students across Aotearoa New Zealand to achieve "regular attendance." This means being at school at least 90% of the time, which works out to missing 5 days or less across an entire school term.
Every day at school builds positive routines, connects our learners with their friends, and keeps their momentum going.
πLetβs keep up this fantastic teamwork for the rest of Term 2! π

π¦π Auckland Zoo Adventure! π¦πΏ
Our amazing Year 1 and Year 2 learners had an absolutely wonderful day exploring Auckland Zoo today!
The children had the best time learning all about the native animals of Aotearoa, exploring different animal behaviours, and discovering their unique habitats. A major highlight of the day was getting a close-up view of the kiwi foraging for food, a truly rare and special experience for our classes! π₯β¨
