We turned 45 on Monday! π₯³ π
To celebrate, we had a school wide shared lunch, and had sports activities in the afternoon.
After all the students had diligently finished their Friday tests of course π
Thank you to all family members who contributed food for the event!
A huge thank you to staff and volunteers who made sure the event ran smoothly.
May God bless you all as He continues to bless us.

ANZAC themed STEM class - during the Gallipoli retreat the ANZACs used "drip rifles" to cover their retreat, saving tens of thousands of lives. Here students had to replicate that so water dripping from one cup into another would pop a balloon after a certain amount of time.
Good to see you would have made it out of the trenches and down the beach in time π π

Hydrogen peroxide and potassium iodide have great chemistry together. Bubbles, water, air, and heat. Our high school students tested it out for themselves, then a demonstration was shown to the juniors.

Guest Lecture on ANZAC - We were privileged to hear from Graeme Evans, a retired Air Force pilot, as he shared the experiences of his father, who served in World War II, and his grandfather, who served in World War I. Their stories were a meaningful reminder of the courage, sacrifice, and legacy of those who served as ANZACs.
Be sure to check out the photos from Graemeβs visit, along with more pictures from our ANZAC Day commemorations on school grounds.

ANZAC Day π¦πΊ
A special ANZAC Parade was held on our school grounds Friday, 24 April, to commemorate the brave ANZACs who served and sacrificed for our country.
ποΈ We have honoured their legacy with a heartfelt ceremony, featuring singing of the national anthem, the "How great thou art" hymn, high school students reading poems, reflections, and the Last Post to pay our respects.

π³ π π Eye on Nature π πΌ π¦
Years 5 and 6 took a trip to the Auckland Botanic Gardens to learn about insects, native plants, pests and waste. So that they can be good stewards of God's creation, and have a love for our country and all it's beauty π³πΏ Thank you Mrs. Barnes for organising this trip! π
