🏉 League Tournament 2026 🏉

What an awesome day of rugby league today at the League Tournament! The boys represented our school with pride, determination, and outstanding sportsmanship as they competed against some very strong teams from across the Howick and Pakuranga area.

The team played exceptionally well throughout the day, winning 3 out of 5 games and showing great teamwork, resilience, and effort in every match. We are incredibly proud of the way they conducted themselves both on and off the field.

A huge thank you to all the parents, whānau, and supporters who came along to cheer the team on. Your encouragement, transport assistance, and support throughout the day helped make the tournament such a success.

What's Happening in Week 8 at Riverina School

Greetings from China!

It’s been an incredibly successful international student recruitment trip, and I wanted to share a few photos from my travels so far!

Over the past week, I’ve had the opportunity to reconnect with agents who have previously sent students to Riverina School, while also building exciting new partnerships across some of China’s largest cities. The interest in Riverina School has been fantastic, and I’m pleased to share that we already have bookings coming through for 2027!

These relationships help create valuable opportunities for our students, strengthen our school community, and showcase the wonderful learning environment we have here at Riverina School.

I’ve also embraced the local culture and tried a few foods that were completely new to me. Some were delicious, some were certainly memorable, and all were part of the adventure! 😄

A huge thank you to our staff, students, and whānau who continue to make Riverina School such a special place to promote. I’m missing everyone back home and look forward to being back at school very soon.

Today's assembly was proudly hosted by Korimako, who did a fantastic job sharing some of their learning and celebrating their achievements with the school community.

Our Pasifika group also made us all incredibly proud as they represented Samoa with a beautiful Sāsā, a traditional and highly synchronised communal dance involving slapping and clapping to the beat. They looked amazing and performed with confidence and pride.

Fa'afetai tele lava to all of our aiga who came along to support today. We hope you enjoyed the performance as much as we did!

Today, we were very privileged to receive free dictionaries for all of our Year 4 students, generously donated by the Rotary Club.

Each year, Peter and Bill visit Riverina School to present this wonderful gift, helping to support and enrich our students' vocabulary development and language learning. We are incredibly grateful for their ongoing commitment to education and for providing such a valuable resource for our learners.
