This Thursday, 5 to 6pm, Dave's online with Dr Roy Davies from the University of Auckland, talking through the current state of software development in the age of AI, and the impacts of vibe coding on the industry. They'll be reflecting on what changes, and what stays the same, when AI can do much of the grunt work of building software.

They're also introducing the 2026 edition of Understanding Software Development Processes and Tools, rebuilt from the ground up to reflect the contemporary world of software development with AI. Starts 17 September.
