Our Year 4s netball team had a fantastic day filled with teamwork and plenty of smiles! Even with sore feet and tired legs, they kept going and played with heart, determination and great sportsmanship. So proud of the way they encouraged each other, gave everything a go and never gave up. What an awesome team and lovely day! Thanks to all our supporters.

Room 25 learners are creating their own props for Inquiry Sharing as they explore light and sound. 🔦🔊 They’re investigating how light travels and reflects, and how sound is made and travels, then turning their learning into fun demonstrations.
They’re excited and proud to share what they’ve discovered!

Room 24 have turned into scientists! 🧑🔬👩🔬
We have been investigating: “What can light travel through?”
We tested a bunch of different objects and discovered that some objects let light pass through, while others block it and create a shadow.
We learnt some new scientific vocabulary:
💡 Opaque – a solid object that light cannot travel through.
💡 Translucent – an object that lets some light travel through.
💡 Transparent – an object that lets light travel through and is see-through.
We made predictions, tested our ideas and carefully observed what happened. It was a lot of fun being scientists for the day! 🔬 What objects do you think are opaque, translucent or transparent?

Room 22 had a wonderful time celebrating Tongan Language Week! We had shown some creative skills in making our own tā‘ovala/ngatu-inspired artwork and learning more about the importance of Tongan culture.
We also enjoyed singing a few Tongan songs and using sign language to help bring our songs to life.
