🧵 TAP lab has a 3D printer filament re-spooler!
It's mostly 3D printed and is powered by a drill. It takes a while but if you've ever attempted to re-spool a roll without a re-spooler before you will understand why this is so incredibly awesome. 😂
And if you're wondering why would you need to re-spool filament...
➡️ Buy bigger rolls and re-spool to standard 1kg rolls that fit in the AMS slots
➡️ Cardboard rolls often get bent and jam in the AMS
With a little tweaking it should also go much faster!

✨ Adding a little glamour to TAP Lab! ✨
Holly used some leftover tapestry fabric to create this stunning gown for the Goblins Masquerade last month! 👗
In true maker fashion, she completely redesigned the bodice just two days before the event 😅 but it all came together in the end!
And because one project is never quite enough, she also 3D printed her own hair pieces.

Stevie has been experimenting with combining CNC technology and traditional printing techniques! ✨
He started with black and white photographs, used the CNC router to carve the designs into MDF, then used printing ink and a press to create the final prints.
A very cool process that blends digital fabrication with hands-on making—and the results are awesome! 👏
