A handful of things made over the last week....
A necklace from a scrap of acrylic, a handy way to make yarn usable in various locations (like waiting in the car, not while actually driving🤣), the Inventors Guild kids have been working on their hand sewing and a winners podium has some very nicely laser cut numbers on it.

TAP Lab was at Waitākere Central Library in Henderson last weekend for Youth Week + Tech Week! ✨
We ran a workshop combining traditional and modern crafting techniques, creating these awesome stained glass-style artworks 🌈
The outlines were all 3D printed! Most were prepared beforehand, but we also brought along one of our printers so everyone could see it in action and print more on the day.
A huge shoutout to our amazing facilitators: Holly from our Inventors Guild afterschool programme and Gin, our Technician 👏
And thank you to the crew at Waitākere Central Library for having us 😄

Embroidery can be used in so many ways. Name tags so you never lose yours stuff again. Covering up holes in a couch. Showing off your personality. Or just showing that you're not ready for new friends yet.
What kind of things would you make?

Kia ora e te whānau - unfortunately, we have had to close the building for health & safety reasons. That means that all of our library services, programmes and venue hire bookings are currently unavailable. We will update with our reopening details as soon as possible.
