I'm here to provide you with all the information needed to make an informed decision as to the right childcare centre for you and your child
You're a Mum or Dad in who wants to find the best childcare option for you and your family. But you don't have the time to look through all the centre options, weigh up the pros and cons - or you don't even know where to start with what questions to ask or what makes a good centre for your child. WHAT I DO:
My aim is to provide you with all of the information required on the childcare centres in
your chosen area, and then to support you in taking that important step in choosing a centre that is right for you and your child. I will not choose a centre for you, or try to influence you in anyway. It is not my intention to place children at any one particular centre - only to provide support and to try take some of the pressure off parents when making this big decision. I am also able to provide group presentations on the various childcare options available and their differences (including Kindergartens, Early Childhood Education Centres, Nannies, Home-based Care and Play Centres). WHO I AM:
My name is Cherene Daley. I have a Bachelor of Early Education and hold my full teacher registration. I have over 8 years experience working in the early childhood sector. During that time I have worked in a variety of centres and have experience as a teacher, a supervisor, and as a manager of an early childhood centre for over 4 years. My most recent – and challenging – role has been as a mother to my beautiful, yet somewhat rambunctious, 1 year old daughter. HOW I CAN HELP YOU:
Since being a centre manager and then having my own child, I have really come to realise the absolute importance of finding the right childcare centre for your child - and also how scary this step may be for many parents. On many occasions I showed parents around my centre and so many of them were so overwhelmed that they didn’t know what questions to ask, or how to make the decision. The notion of handing over your child to strangers to care for, and teach, is a foreign concept in the beginning, and the natural reluctance can often cloud our ability to ask the right questions and uncover the right information. After reflecting on this, I felt that there has to be a better way - and there is. With a lot of information and a little insight, guidance and support, I am confident that I can assist you in making the decision on which centre to place your precious child an easier one. And for those of you who don't know whether a centre is the right childcare option for you and your child, I am also available to provide group presentations comparing the various care options and will discuss their pros and cons. Included in the presentation are tips on toilet training and behaviour management strategies. WHAT ARE YOUR OPTIONS? I provide two options to assist you to find the right childcare centre. These are:
I also provide a presentation on the different childcare options. Option 1 – RESEARCH PACKAGE - $65.00
You will provide me with some basic information to enable me to determine your needs. This can be provided to me over the phone or by email. I will do all the research for up to 3 centres in the immediate area that you are looking at. I will then provide you with a detailed report which will give you all the basic information relating to each centre so that you can compare. If you would like to know any specific information, please request this at the time you make your booking so I can be sure to get the relevant answers for you. The information I provide will give you a snapshot of the centre, and you can then use this information as a guide for which centre may suit your and your child’s needs. The reports are designed so that you will have all the knowledge you need on each centre and when you visit them you will have a clear mind instead of trying to remember all the questions you need answers to. This will allow you to focus on what is going on around you, and especially your own child and how they are responding to the new environment. I will endeavour to get the report to you within 3-5 working days. After receiving your report should you have any questions then I will provide a follow up phone conversation or email to discuss the information further. This is included in the package. If you require additional research on more than 3 centres, I can do so at a cost of $20 per additional centre. Option 2 – VISITING PACKAGE - $120 (AUCKLAND ONLY)
This package INCLUDES the research package and in addition I will attend up to two centre visits of your choice. Ideally you would accompany me on these visits so that you can get a feel for the centre and if it is going to be a good match for your child. However should you wish for me to go without you, I can do so and will include in your report observations on the uniqueness of each centre during my time there. I am happy to ask any questions you may have on your behalf. Should you accompany me on these visits I will be able to support you during our time at the centre. This can be especially beneficial for parents who have not experienced an early childhood setting before, as often the first few times in a childcare centre can be quite overwhelming. If you are visiting the centre with me, you are likely to have your child with you, therefore we will take our own methods of transport to each centre. My petrol costs are included in the cost of this package. I am also able to arrange the visit time with centres on your behalf if required. Should you wish me to accompany you to more than two centres, this can be arranged at a cost of $30 per additional centre visit. Option 3 - PRESENTATION PACKAGE - $15 per person (AUCKLAND ONLY)
During this presentation I will give a detailed explanation of each of the following childcare options:
• Home-based care;
• Early Childcare Centres;
• Kindergarten;
• Nannies; and
• Playcentre
I will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each, and provide suggestions on ways to help transition your child into care. The presentation will also include advice on toilet training, as well as child behaviour management strategies. This presentation will aim to give you a comprehensive understanding of each childcare option, so that you can make the best decision for your child and family. Please note in order to book this package there is a minimum number of 6 people required. Petrol costs may be incured outside a 20km radius of Auckland city. If you think that you would benefit from this service and you live in the Auckland region, I would love to hear from you. Please feel free to contact me via email at [email protected], a Facebook message, or on my mobile - 021 020 07636.

Interestingly the majority of my clients are those who already have their child in a centre but they are not happy and are seeking my assistance in finding another one. Have you ever moved your child from a centre because you weren't entirely satisfied with the service?
